Put-in information for Red Bluff Diversion Dam State of California

Overview: One of the many put-ins for floating down the Sacramento River. Plenty of take-outs and camping spots along the Sacramento so you can make your trip as long or as short as possible.

Directions: From I-5 take the exit for CA-36/Antelope Blvd. going West. Make a right onto Sale Ln. and take that into the park. Follow signs for boat ramps. There are at two ramps in the park. I chose the Southernmost one.

Parking: Free (I believe). $6 boat launch fee. Gate closes at 10PM.

Facilities: Restrooms, water.

Amenities: Campground. This is right in Red Bluff so there is food, lodging, and the likes.

Cautions: The Sacramento is fairly swift moving. Make sure you have a way (other than paddling) to get back to your car.
