Recognized Activity Types

These are the choices currently available in the GOTOES Activity Type / Sport menu. How an activity is labeled after import depends on the export format and the receiving app.

FormatActivity type behavior
FITUses GOTOES sport and sub-sport mappings. Some choices map to a broader category; pink entries below currently export as Other. FIT export requires donor access.
TCXWrites the selected activity label as text. Running, Biking, and Other are the safest choices for compatibility; other labels may be rejected or reclassified by the receiving app.
GPXWrites the selected activity label as text. The receiving app may ignore it or assign a different activity type.
KMLIntended for viewing routes on a map. GOTOES does not include activity-type metadata in KML exports.

MultiSport: For an existing multisport file, keep MultiSport to preserve its sport sections. Choosing a single activity type converts the selected range to that activity.

Labels beside individual activities show when the current FIT mapping uses a different name. A pink label means that selection currently maps to Other in FIT.
