How to use

  1. Create a GOTOES account using your email address.
  2. Connect your GOTOES account to Strava via the API (you can connect up to two Strava accounts).
  3. Send an email from your registered email to Strava uploader email address
  4. If the email has a FIT/GPX/TCX attachment, it will be uploaded to your connected Strava account(s).
  5. The email subject line becomes the activity title.
Tip: If you don’t see uploads happening, confirm you’re sending from the email address on your GOTOES account and that Strava is connected.
Why upload to Strava via email?

The notes below are kept for historical context. Even though modern mobile OSes have improved file access, email uploads can still be handy for certain devices/workflows.

  • Useful when you have a spotty connection where email is more reliable than web uploads.
  • Useful when sharing one activity to two connected Strava accounts with a single send.
  • Useful for devices that create smaller FIT files (KB) vs larger phone-generated tracks (MB).
