Fabricate first part of the FIT/GPX

Can Race Repair fabricate a first part of the FIT/GPX instead of last?
My bike computer died halfway, I had to reboot and lost the recording (that or I was too stupid not to record at all

)
Anyway I'm trying to fix it by fabricating the first part but it takes a long time and it gets all jiggy in the end.

Thanks for your message. The tool should be able to handle the first part of the activity as well as the last. I'm still testing and improving the tool, however, so if you want, use the contact form (or this post) to provide sample files. I will need to know the following:
- The source file (the one where you had a GPS problems)
- The course file
- The start time
- The end time
I will give it a go, and see if I can make it work. It may be necessary to improve the tool. I haven't had a ton of files to test with, so this is an opportunity to improve the code.

Thanks for the reply. I had asked for the source files and times, but I can clearly see the problem in your image. What is happening is that you are viewing BOTH of the tracks (overlaid) in the GOTOES editor. You have some choices on how to do this.
1) The quick satisfaction way is to go back to move back to the GOTOES settings page and find the auto trim button. Trim the view so that you're using your real data where you have it, and the fabricated data where you don't. If you send me your test files, I'll make a little screenshot tutorial.
2) The other option is to just ignore this view and make sure that "Position" and "Elevation" streams are turned OFF for the source file. Although it looks wonky in the viewer, when you export, only the positions from the fabricated file will be used.
My recommendation is to do #1. If you send me the files, then I can write a tutorial that helps other people too.
