Would it be possible to adjust the way Strava calculates moving time? I've succesfully used your tools to combine the heart rate and the gps/swimming data calculated seperatly, but Strava shows a "moving time" of about 8 minutes while it should be approx 24 minutes - the same as the elapsed time.

I was working on this tool for another person… their complaint was that their run did not show their stopped time. In other words, they were having the exact opposite problem that you were having!!
I found this info on their website: (
https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/art ... lculations ):
When does Strava show moving time and when does it show elapsed time?
We show both moving and elapsed time when you look at any activity’s details. Because moving time is the best measure of how long you were active, especially for sports like running and cycling, Strava will generally prioritize moving time and pace based on moving time in places like the activity feed, activity screens, and pages, challenges, goals, and stats. Some exceptions:
If an activity is tagged as a race, we will use elapsed time (and speed/pace based on elapsed time) as all stops count as part of your race time.
Certain sports lend themselves better to elapsed time, including indoor ones like Yoga and Weight Training, and some outdoor ones like Skiing and Surfing (note that speed for Skis is still based on moving time.)
Segments and Best Efforts are always based on elapsed time, as these are similar to races in that resting time is part of how long it takes you to complete them from start to finish.
So, from what I can gather, you maybe could tag your swim as a “race” and then it will show total time… would that help?
If not, maybe you can write them and open a support ticket and ask them to give you the option of choosing between elapsed and moving time.
Also, I recently added a feature where you can Interpolate Track (add points). This will put a point in every second. Selecting this option may also fix the swim time so that the moving time matches the elapsed time. See image for where this option is in my tool.
