Re: Cadence not shown at all
Ahh, I see. You are correct: with Garmin, the cadence disappears, but with Strava, the cadence is interpreted. I looked at the file exported by gotoes (raw source) and the cadence is in the file. The problem is with the session data; there is some minor corruption in your source file in the session ...

Re: Cadence not shown at all
Fit From gotoes? I just tried exporting your merged files, and saw cadence.

Re: Cadence not shown at all
Rainer- When you export the combined file from gotoes, are you exporting as the GPX format? If so, please switch to TCX or better yet, FIT. GPX does not support cadence. Strava does accept a special format (which gotoes uses) to override the fact that GPX does not support cadence… but no other p ...

Re: Toasty badge connect
Hello Fabio - I received your email in addition to this forum post. The best way to change the temperature on you Garmin file is to load it into GOTOES and then click the "Edit Points" button. This button is blue, as seen in my sceenshot below. Screenshot from 2025-03-11 09-21-34.png Once the new ...

Re: Some Garmin Activities not Appearing on Gotoes
This happens to me too. I didn’t consider it was short activities. I thought it was when two or more activities upload simultaneously to Garmin. Regardless, I have checked the logs and this is on Garmin’s end. Garmin sends the files to GOTOES listener page… only thing is that occasionally Garmin neve ...

FAQ: How to combine separate activities into one MultiSport File (Triathlon or Duathlon)
Garmin Connect now allows users to record multisport activities (such as Triathlons and Duathlons) in one single file. Re: Garmin Upload - Training Effect & Benefit does not work
Update Dec 4, 2024: Hi guys - today a user wrote to me and said that if he omits the Garmin Device name, Garmin will not re-calculate the two training_effect values. Leaving out the Garmin device name would be better than leaving out the heart rate stream. If you do this, though, your activity will ...

FAQ: Editing Custom Data Fields in your FIT file
FIT files are organized into several "categories": Records - This holds information like your latitude, longitude, temperature, heart rate, power, cadence, etc. There should be a data point recorded at least every few seconds, tracking your every move. FAQ: Not all parts of multisport activites showing in Garmin Connect
Garmin devices allow you to record activities such as duathlons and triathlons. These activities allow you to generate one single FIT File that is called a multisport activity, and it has multiple activities embedded. For example, you can record the following: Swim -> Transition -> Bike ...
