Re: Bulk sync Garmin->Strava?
In response to your request, I added a date-picker today so you can jump back to earlier dates. I hope that helps resolve your issue.

Re: Process more than 200 activities?
In response to your request, I have bumped the allowable limit from 200 to 500. I also improved the viewer so you can choose between infinite-scroll and a "contained" scroll. This should make handling that many files a bit easier for the user. I still need to keep the per-transaction limit at 10 ...

Hi Tommy -
Did you ever get this figured out? I just tested in my Strava and I DO see the "correct elevation" option... It appears you did everything correctly.

Re: How to prevent Multisport Files from being split on Strava [Solved]
Thanks for the detailed explanation. The important distinction is between:
1. A true multisport FIT file containing separate swim, transition, bike and run sessions; and
2. A single-session FIT file containing all of the same record data but classified as one activity type.

Yes. You can do this, but Strava imposes limits. Also so does Garmin. Garmin lets you sync 90 activities with gotoes per request. Strava might limit it to 20….

Do you think you can send me a screenshot of the field that you're missing? I looked at your two source/original files in my FIT file viewer and did not see a filed called "DFA" - Maybe you could indicate which field is missing with a screenshot?

Re: How To Fix Stryd Dropouts
Thanks for the detailed notes — I dug into your files and here’s what I think is happening and (hopefully) how to resolve it with the current GOTOES options.
Why this is happening
Your Stryd file contains four 10‑second STOP/START pauses ( you can see them in the FIT “event” data ). In FIT files ...

Re: How To Fix Stryd Dropouts
Sorry, I am having trouble understanding the start / stop thing. I figure that everything should align perfectly because both Garmin and Stryd have UTC timestamps, so they should “line up”. Sorry to make you do more work, but can you maybe send me a screenshot or explain to me like I’m 5.. I don’t ...

Re: Does the Merge Tool also combine developer fields from two FIT files?
@j4m1eb - I just wrote to Tymewear for clarification on how the device syncs time. It will be interesting to see if that is the cause. Meanwhile, consider doing a time-shift on your GPS file using the GOTOES timestamp tool . When I released the new update, one of the things I did was ensure that ...

Re: Does the Merge Tool also combine developer fields from two FIT files?
@j4m1eb - OK, I spent the better part of the day analyzing your files and working on GOTOES to try and make it work for you. Here is my thought:
First: intervals.icu seems to have some issues (at least in my browser). The time of day is "cut off" on the far left hand side of the screen. Also, when ...

Re: Does the Merge Tool also combine developer fields from two FIT files?
This is interesting.. All of your files are offset by 14 minutes? I'm working on this today, but was wondering if you could tell me how to reproduce these graphs on intervals.icu. I don't use that tool and want to be able to replicate the issue so I can fix it. Talk to me like I'm 5. Ok, maybe like ...

Re: Unknown field identified
OK, I added it as garmin_user_name. It's a provisional addition, so this field will not be used in export validation, but you will be able to see garmin_user_name* (the * indicates that it was a user supplied field name and not part of the official FIT spec). Thanks.

Re: Coros dev field not behaving correctly
OK, I think I see what the issue is. Sometimes the "Effort Pace" goes to zero in the GOTOES output file. This is because I didn't "carry over" the developer data fields in the way I used to. I've been working on an "intelligent" carry over algorithm, which I plan to introduce soon. I'll put it as a ...

Thanks for that. I can look into adding it, but I will need a test file so I know more about that field. Meanwhile, I'm more interested in resolving your other post, so test files for THAT post would be appreciated. I am guessing it is a "carry over" issue. GOTOES used to carry over empty fields ...

Hi! I’m trying to pin down exactly what’s going wrong so I can fix it for you.
Here’s what I did on my side:
1) I took both of your files and trimmed + merged them. (In your screenshot it looks like trimming wasn’t used, but for overlapping files it’s usually recommended)

FAQ: GOTOES is doubling my distance!
There are two types of ways you can merge files on GOTOES...
You can do a concatenated merge where you combine GPS files end-to-end. This is common in situations where your GPS died or ran out of battery and you started a new recording on your phone or some other device. These are merged end-to ...

FAQ: How to convert a FIT file to an eXcel file (.xlsx .xls)
GOTOES has added the ability to convert your FIT files into multi-page Spreadsheets. To do this, I am using the unified "Merge Tool". This may seem confusing because you can upload single files to the merge tool as well.
Step 1:
Upload your file(s) to the GOTOES Merge tool
