Re: Issue with moving time after using GOTOES
I wish it were as easy as “adding in time”… but the time is already in there. The issue is that Strava decided that this time was not spent moving once the file comes from GOTOES. I would have said the same thing - even if I only looked at your initial file - because of the gps glitches. So, the thi...

Re: Issue with moving time after using GOTOES
Just to clarify, GOTOES is not removing moving time. That is because nowhere in the file is there a field that says, “moving time.” If that field existed, I’d let the user change it. GOTOES is not interpolating the points (unless you select that option). GOTOES is definitely removing data. Your file...

Re: Issue with moving time after using GOTOES
I’m sorry. I just re-read your question. For other people, what I wrote above may still be helpful… but in your case, if you mark the activity as a “race” then Strava promises they won’t recalculate the moving time. I just saw that you said the moving time was 100 percent of the activity time. Marki...

Re: Issue with moving time after using GOTOES
GOTOES rebuilds the file from scratch… so it is a “new file” when the results come out. If you export as FIT, GOTOES tries its best to make the new file like the original. Strava has two ways of calculating moving time. If you push the start and stop button during and activity, then Strava says they...

Re: Issue with moving time after using GOTOES
Hi -
I know you said you tried every setting… but i just want to check to make sure you played with the “minimum speed to consider moving” option. Did you try that already?

Re: Combining fit files incorrectly computes overall distance
Hopefully this FAQ answers that question: https://gotoes.org/stravatoolsforum/viewtopic.php?p=60#p60 Are you exporting as GPX, TCX, or FIT from GOTOES? What platform are you using to view the results (Strava, Garmin Connect, Training Peaks?) I can help you personally if you use the contact form on G...

Re: Issue including calories from FIT file
When you export from GOTOES, are you exporting as FIT or TCX? Strava has been overriding more and more information from TCX files (probably because they are considered “modifiable”). If you export as FIT, it should show the number in the original field. If you already are exporting as FIT from GOTOE...

Re: Add GPS locations to TCX from GPX/KML
I re-read your question (was climbing on my bike when I first read it)… now I understand better. What you are asking is not supported by the tool (yet). I’m now trying to thing about two things: 1) Does anyone else have this scenario (to make it worth my time to add such feature) and… 2) How would I...

Re: Add GPS locations to TCX from GPX/KML
Ah yes… you need to add the time stamps to the GPX first. Then it will show. This is the tool you need:

How to handle very large FIT files on GOTOES. (Solved)
Here is the solution to handling FIT files that are too big for Garmin/Strava/GOTOES: The FIT file format allows for the storage of a massive amount of data in a relatively small file. Frankly, it's amazing how much information you can pack into such a small file. A problem arises when there is SO ...
