Special Stryd fields ( 'Stryd Zone' CIQ data field) were removed from the output .FIT file

Post by jambrz »

Hi,

on some Garmin watches (e.g. Venu, Venu SQ, Vívoactive 4 etc.) the GPS must be switched off
when you want to get Pace and Distance from Stryd foot pod.
In this way the (heat) map is missing from Garmin Connect and Stryd PowerCenter.

As a workaround I collected the GPS data from a Polar watch during the training.
I tried to combine
- .FIT file downloaded from Garmin Connect and
- .GPX file downloaded from Polar Flow.

Unfortunately the special Stryd fields collected by 'Stryd Zone' CIQ data field were removed from the combined .FIT file.

Is it possible to leave these fields in the combined .FIT file ?
Thank you.

KR,
Zs.

Hi KR -

I haven't encountered those special Strydr fields yet, but I'm willing to add them to FIT export if it seems possible. I think a lot of people are using Stryd and may also appreciate this feature. You will need to contact me directly using the contact form on https://gotoes.org/strava Once we're in contact, you can send me some sample files. Alternatively, you can upload sample files to this forum. I'll need to read the fields and see if I can replicate them in my output.
