To the rest out there:
I forgot to enter Serial No and SW Version in the fields at the bottom section of the options page.
Now it works, my merged activities count for the challenges!!

Hi, thanks for your reply. I totally understand the reason that there are only limited options to choose. I would be pretty happy with those 3, as they match 99% of my activities. That is not the point... The point is, that for some reason the merged file out of your tools is not accepted by Garmin ...

I totally understand your points and the more often I think about it, the more consent I am with this solution, because - as you said - it matches the reality. ACCEPTED ANSWER (posted by Admin so you don't have to read the entire thread). Make sure that you include the Serial Number and the Software Version as well as the correct Garmin Device when you export your FIT file from Strava tools.
