Hello!
I cannot merge the heart rate from Polar to a swim activity from garmin.
In image "Garmin.png" I have the activity loaded by Garmin device.
In image "Polar.png" I have the activity loaded by polar device.
I would like to merge the 2 fit files keeping all the data from Garmin, but substitute the Garmin HR with the Polar one.
I'm using the configuration in image "configpng.png".
When I import the merged FIT file to Garmin I got the result as "result.png". The HR comes from Polar but some data are wrong (yard instead of meters, pace result) or missing.
How can I change the parameter in "Merge And Repair GPS Files" tool to obtain the same result as "Garmin.png" but having the HR from polar?
I've also attached the 2 fit files:
Davide_Blua_2026-01-21_19-28-00.FIT from Polar
21622965950_ACTIVITY.fit from garmin
Thanks a lot!
Davide

Thanks for your message. I've been pulling my hair out on this one because I cannot replicate it exactly. I am starting to wonder if the reason is because I do not have the same "workout" or training file stored in my account (your training file is specific to you). This is just a guess, however.
The big glaring thing I noticed in your screenshot, though, is that you did not check the "Advanced Fit Fields" checkboxes. The advanced fit fields contain all sorts of data that Garmin uses to display your files. The reason I call them "Advanced" is because viewers like Strava don't use these fields at all.
Also, you will notice that there is a "show unpublished" checkbox - Garmin stores even MORE data in those fields, but no one has any idea what they are for - because Garmin does not tell us. So, it might be worth trying with and without the published / unpublished boxes checked. That means about 4 tests for you (2 per device).
Please let me know if one of those options fixes it for you. GOTOES will store your preferences, so once you figure it out, GOTOES will "remember" the setting that works for you.

Re: Swim: HR from polar, activity from Garmin
Hi,
I've tried several combination generating more than 60 files. I got the best result with the attached configuration "config1,2,3,4,5.png"
The "res.png" contains the result. In the table I got all the data, what is missing is still the Distance (Distanza) which is always 0. Another error is the pace chart, probably consequence of the Distace set to 0.
I also attache the fit file and the result.
Regards,
Davide
