Have you ever needed to read inside of a FIT file or wanted to see the raw data? GOTOES FIT FILE VIEWER lets you see the raw data inside. It can also run a generic repair pass to correct any errors in the file.

Was exploring the Fit file viewer and noticed this one:

Thanks for that. I can look into adding it, but I will need a test file so I know more about that field. Meanwhile, I'm more interested in resolving your other post, so test files for THAT post would be appreciated. I am guessing it is a "carry over" issue. GOTOES used to carry over empty fields differently, and I am aiming to come to a balance between filling in the gaps. (Scenario 1, you may have seen in the other user's heart rate file where GOTOES intentionally prevented the heart rate from going to zero during a pause, and the user did not like the flat line - too much filling empty data)... to not filling the gaps enough (your scenario)... Let's get that fixed and then I will add this data field.

OK, I added it as garmin_user_name. It's a provisional addition, so this field will not be used in export validation, but you will be able to see garmin_user_name* (the * indicates that it was a user supplied field name and not part of the official FIT spec). Thanks.
