Re: Sorry - your upload to Strava failed with this error: Your activity is still being processed
It is probably because you uploaded a duplicate activity. You need to delete the original files before you upload one from my merger tool. Another option is to select the "Randomize ID Tag" checkbox.

Re: Average Speed Not Correct after Merging GPS files.
Try using TCX export and then selecting to use embedded distance (one of the options on the 2nd page). This uses the distances in your original files. This will only work with FIT files imported (and most TCX if they have distance embedded). It will not work if you import GPX because GPX doesn’t hav...

Re: Upload Size Limitations
Good Question. FIT files are compressed, and more “taxing” to process - so much harder on the server. GPX files can be zipped (compressed) and they contain a lot less information than the FIT Files, so they are easier to parse through. Can you try zipping the GPX files and uploading the zipped file?...

Re: Merged Distance not correct.
You will want to select the “TCX” export option. Then select “Use embedded distance”. This will put the distance from your original files into the output file.

Re: Start time on Strava does not match actual time
You must select “Virtual Ride” when you use my tool to upload to Strava. What is happening is Strava is detecting the “fake” map made by Strava. Therefore, it is overriding the timestamps that my tool sends along. I was trying to figure this out, because no matter what time zone we specified, it wou...

Re: Moving Time on Indoor Workouts
Thanks for sending me your files. I now know what is going on. It is because this is an indoor activity. I did some research on Strava’s website to try and figure out why they aren’t recognizing the stopped time for these activities, and it appears that this is because it is an indoor workout. From ...

Re: Strava's Calculation of Moving Time on Swims
I was working on this tool for another person… their complaint was that their run did not show their stopped time. In other words, they were having the exact opposite problem that you were having!! I found this info on their website: ( https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001188684-Moving...

Re: Merging Track from Kinomap, Laps from Garmin, and distance, pace elevation from RunCline
I think I may have figured out how to make this work for you. Strava is being a little picky about the contents of the TCX file, I see! I have included a screen shot of all the settings I selected to achieve your goal. Step 1: Set up the crop: Strava seems to be picky about track points that are mis...

Re: Speed Not Showing in Garmin Connect
I used the settings as shown in my screenshot. TCX export, Calculate distance, and Only include tracepoints with Position. Using those settings, the speed looks correct.

Re: The elevation is not the same as my individual files
Yes, Strava will re-calculate the elevation unless it comes from what Strava deems to be a “barometric device.” If you want the elevation that is shown on your device to be the elevation reported by Strava, you need to choose “TCX” for the export format. Then, you need to choose a device type that h...
